DTC Initium |

Pressure Systems’ DTC Initium provides a powerful yet economical data acquisition system for PSI’s DTC series of miniature ESP pressure scanners. This advanced system epitomizes PSI’s ambition to eliminate in-situ calibration from electronic pressure scanning technology. The DTC Initium system integrates an advanced analog circuit design with PSI’s innovative Digital Temperature Compensation (DTC) technology to maintain optimal accuracy without on-line span calibration.

DTCnet |

The DTCnet is a fully integrated sub-compact acquisition system that interfaces with PSI's DTC Series of ESP pressure scanners and outputs the data via Ethernet. This enables a scaleable network of DTC scanners to be directly connected to the host computer. The DTCnet addresses the scanner, digitizes the analog outputs and calculates fully compensated engineering unit data using the calibration information embedded from within the DTC scanners. The DTCnet makes implementing the miniature DTC pressure scanners simple and straightforward while maintaining the industry leading accuracy performance of the scanners. The DTCnet operates at extremely high speed making it suitable for a variety of applications ranging from windtunnels to automotive track testing.

ESP-16HD/32HD/64HD |

Miniature ESP electronic pressure scanners are differential pressure measurement units consisting of an array of silicon piezoresistive pressure sensors, one for each pressure port. The sensors are mounted on a common hybrid glass substrate using a proprietary technique which maximizes long term stability. The outputs of the sensors are electronically multiplexed through a single onboard instrumentation amplifier at rates up to 20,000 Hz using binary addressing. The multiplexed amplified analog output is capable of being driven through long lengths of cable to a remote A/D converter.

System 8400 Scanner Digitizer Interface (SDI) |

The compact scanner interface (SDI) is located close to the scanners to locally digitize analog signals and transmit the resultant data via fiber optic cable to a Fiber Interface Unit (FIU) within the 8400 System Processor. The FIU-SDI combination replaces the previous combination of a Scanner Digitizer Unit (SDU) and its remote interface (IFC) while providing increased functionality and data quality. Longer, yet significantly smaller cabling is now possible between the 8400 System Processor and the ESP scanners. Data quality is greatly enhanced since all data acquisition is local to the scanners and only digital data traverses the fiber optic link between the SDI and FIU.
